Man United ready to spend staggering £240million in order to sign Barcelona star Neymar jnr

Man United are willing to spend up to £240million in order to secure the signature of Barcelona superstar Neymar Jr according to reports.

Over the  last 48 hours it has been widely reported that the Red Devils have shown interest in the Brazilian icon and further reports have indicated that the Reds are looking to make their interest official.
Manchester United missed out on Pedro Rodriguez to Chelsea last week but  The Guardian yesterday claimed reds chief executive Ed Woodward actually travelled to Spain to negotiate a deal for Neymar.
It is understood that the Reds are so determined to land the 23-year-old that they would be willing to match his buy out clause believed to be in the region of £140million, whilst United would also offer Neymar a huge £75million in wages spread across a five year deal.
The £140million bid, which would reportedly activate Neymar’s release clause, would smash the current £85million transfer record set by Real Madrid for Gareth Bale.
Neymar is reportedly happy at the Nou Camp but recent reports have claimed that the superstar would be interested in a move to Old Trafford.
